Love is as strong as death;
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
Love’s flames are vehement flames of fire,
    the very flame of Yah.
Many waters cannot quench love;
    rivers cannot sweep it away.

Intimacy with a Holy God

One woman’s journey of walking with a kind God Who burns with ardent flames of love.

November Prayer Points

Four prayer points for Israel with scriptures to pray:

(1) Dwell With God (2) Life (3) Covid and the Economy (4) Isaiah 19 Highway: USA Elections

DWELL WITH GOD

Abba, reveal the desires of Your heart to draw Your people into Your chambers. Make us like the sons of Issachar who knew the times and seasons of Israel.

ISAIAH 26:20, “Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past.”

Insight Into Israel:

Since COVID-19 began, twice Israel has been on a month long full lockdown and in the other 6 months restrictions have been in place. Schools are closed. “COVID Hotels” are housing those who have been exposed to the disease.

Masks are worn to cover our faces on penalty of a hefty fine. Gatherings over 10 or 20 have been forbidden. Families were forbidden to travel to be together during the high holidays.

DWELL WITH GOD

Abba, reveal the desires of Your heart to draw Your people into Your chambers. Make us like the sons of Issachar who knew the times and seasons of Israel.

  • ISAIAH 26:20, “Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past.”

  • MATTHEW 6:6

  • SONG OF SONGS 3:1-4

Insight Into Israel: Since COVID-19 began, twice Israel has been on a month long full lockdown and in the other 6 months restrictions have been in place. Schools are closed. “COVID Hotels” are housing those who have been exposed to the disease.

Masks are worn to cover our faces on penalty of a hefty fine. Gatherings over 10 or 20 have been forbidden. Families were forbidden to travel to be together during the high holidays.

As the suicide rate, depression, unemployment, and abuse rises, more and more people are in anguish.

Jerusalem intercessors are sensing that the Holy Spirit is using this time to set us apart, dial down the distractions, and lead us into the secret place with Him. The LORD desires for people to return to Him as their first love and to dwell with Him. It is time to command your soul to “settle down” and be released from the heavy yokes and the unknowns. Yeshua’s yoke is easy and His burden is light.

This momentary, light affliction is a wake up call to turn to the Lord and away from heavy burdens before His severe judgements come. Among other hated sins, soon He will put an end to the innocent bloodshed of the babies by means of abortion and deliver these little ones from their oppressors. For now Israel is still in a window of mercy. Please pray for us.

LIFE

Abba, we thank You for giving us life through the breath of Your Spirit. Each one of our lives belong to You. We pray for the at-risk, innocent ones in the Land of Israel and ask that You to spare their lives. Mighty Deliverer, You know each baby intimately. You have written a book of destiny for each one. Bring them forth into life in Yeshua’s name.

  • PROVERBS 31:8-9, “Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.”

  • JOEL 2:12-14

  • GENESIS 2:7

Insight into Israel: In Israel 40,000 Babies a year are returned to Abba Father in Heaven through abortion. The Israeli government funds 20,000 of those abortions. “Estimates say 1/5 of all pregnancies in Israel end in abortion. Since 1948, more babies have been aborted in Israel than the number of children that died in the Holocaust. Yet despite the nation’s deeply rooted respect for life, Israel is one of the only countries in the world where it is legal to abort a baby up until birth,” Be’Ad Chaim [For Life], a ministry led by a Jewish believer in Yeshua, Sandy Shoshani.

“The Social Services Division of the IDF can refer a female soldier for up to two government-subsidized abortions during her 18-month service. Significant pressure is placed on the soldiers to abort,” Sandy Shoshani.

Worldwide 1.6 Billion babies have been aborted since 1980, and this year alone 34 million babies have been aborted. God, have mercy, save our souls and deliver these innocent lives.

COVID & THE ECONOMY

Holy Spirit You are our healer. Come move in the midst of us. Hover over us like You hovered over the waters in the beginning of Creation. Creator of the Universe, oh Most High, have mercy and cause Your face to shine. Let Your sick-less Kingdom come and Your will be done on Earth AS it is in Heaven.

  • EXODUS 23:25, "Worship the LORD your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you…”

  • ISAIAH 53:4-5,

  • MATTHEW 6:25-33

Insight into Israel: Governmental approval for the extension of the state of emergency from November 5th - January 3rd has been given. Over 40,000 businesses have not been able to survive the two one-month lockdowns and continued restrictions. There is now a 24% unemployment rate among working Israelis. Over a million Israelis are on unemployment. Another 500,000, at least, have lost their “under-the-table” employment.

In the midst of the political bickering this government has not been able to pass a budget, causing Israel to have fewer resources to manage the crisis. The government has allocated 100 billion shekels ($29 billion) on measures including aid to businesses whose revenue has fallen by at least 25% due to the pandemic.

Israel Institute of Biological Research (IIBR) reported that a vaccine for COVID is now in human trials. By summer time the vaccine will be ready for the public. The highest COVID infection rate is in the Haredi (Orthodox) neighborhoods with 1 in 5 infected in yeshiva. In response the government has highly restricted religious gatherings, yeshiva and the neighborhoods.

There has been great unrest and demonstrations against the government, especially among the unemployed and the religious.

ISAIAH 19 HIGHWAY

Holy Spirit bring about salvation in the Middle East and unity in the Bride of Messiah in Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Iraq and throughout the Middle East. Bless Your people in Egypt and the nations that make up Assyria. Reveal to Israel what it means to be the inheritance and joy set before Yeshua the Messiah.

  • ISAIAH 19:23-25, “In that day there will be a highway …the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”

  • MATTHEW 25:31-46

  • ISAIAH 2

Insight into Israel: The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan joined Egypt and Jordan as nations who have signed peace treaties with Israel. President Trump has called the signing of the Abraham Accords a “dawn of a new Middle East.”

Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE said, “Today, we are already witnessing a change at the heart of the Middle East, a change that will send hope around the world.”

During the signing of the peace treaties Gaza sprayed rockets onto southern Israel. Even though the Palestinians are outraged and feel abandoned, more Arab nations are seriously considering a peace treaty with Israel. Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are among the six to ten more nations who are deliberating a deal with President Trump.

Nations who have taken up the Palestinian cause in the past are suffering financially and feel they need to think about their own nation. Peace treaties with Israel remove the label of being a “terrorist nation” causing the USA to lift sanctions.

USA Elections

Israelis seem to be as invested in the USA elections as Americans are. Netanyahu described Trump as “the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House.”

President Trump has strengthened the bond between our two countries by recognizing Jerusalem as our capital in in December 6, 2017, granting Israel sovereignty over the Golan Heights on March 25, 2019, and leading her into the Abraham Accords peace treaties. October 29, 2020 he lifted the ban on US funding on Israeli scientific research and development in the West Bank and Golan Heights.

President Trump put an end to the Iran deal and committed $3.8 billion annually for military aid to Israel. When the criminal courts of the UN threatened Israel with war crimes, he threatened sanctions on the UN and caused the UN to back down. He recognized that the Palestinians were causing the peace process to not move forward.

What is Yeshua doing through the Abraham Accords? My sense is that Yeshua is connecting the hearts of Jews with Arabs and vice versa. Yeshua said in Matthew 25 that the “sheep” nations will care for His brethren, the Jews, and “goat” nations will not. Yeshua is redeeming this time and season to draw hearts from surrounding nations into loving Israel.

I LOVE this Song! The Lord used it to save me.

Are you suffering or facing difficulty? In your weakness, worship.

You will ravish Yeshua’s heart, and He will say to you, “Turn your eyes away from Me for they have overcome Me,” Song of Songs 6:5.

I have used other Scriptures to interpret the poetry in Song of Songs.

Prayers based on Scriptural interpretation have been written to help give you understanding of each attribute of God. Enjoy!

Holy

“My Beloved is white"

Love of my life, Holy One lifted high You are dazzling light enthroned on the praises of Israel. Creatures flying, seraphim dancing, thunder resounding, multitudes singing, elders falling retaining no glory. All are crying, “Holy! Holy! Holy!”

(Isa. 6, Rev. 4 & 5, Ps. 22:3, I John 1:5, Ps. 139:11-12, I Cor. 13:4-8)

Ardent Love

“My Beloved is…ruddy (red)”

Gazing into the window of Your soul through Your eyes like unquenchable, vehement flames, I see zealous love that consumes You.

You are Yah, the everlasting burning, the flame of love. I am my Beloved God’s and His desire is for me.

(Song of Songs 7:10 & 8:6-7, Rev. 1:14, Deut. 4:24, Isa. 33:14)

Incomparable Superiority

“Chief among ten thousand”

Beloved, You came in the likeness of men, setting aside Your garments of light and putting on garments of flesh and blood.

You did not seek honor for Your noble sacrifice. You served, humbled Yourself unto death and were broken for all. Your humility has exalted You to the highest places.

(Phil. 2:5-11, Isa. 53, John 8:56-58)

Priceless Thoughts & Sovereign Leader

“His head is like the finest gold”

Beautiful One, You have a veil of mercy over Your mind as You think and process what You hear. Whatever is true, honorable, lovely, pure, of good report and just, You think on these things.

All I want to do is sit at Your feet and hear Your refined thoughts of wisdom and divine insight. I trust Your leadership in my life!

(Heb. 4:16, II Sam. 24:14, Luke 6:36, Phli. 4:8, Luke 10:38+, Isa. 26:3-4)

Covenant God

“His locks (hair) are wavy, and black as a raven”

You display Your eternal consecration to me with Your wavy locks as the Nazarites vowed to not cut their hair as a sign of their consecration unto You.

An everlasting covenant sealed in Your own blood cries out that You are a Bridegroom God in love with Your creation. I am Yours Yeshua.

(Num. 6, Judges 13, I Sam. 1:11, Luke 22:14-20, John 3:29, Rev. 19:7)

Steady, Peaceful Gaze

“His eyes are like doves by the rivers of waters washed with milk, and fitly set.”

Like the dove, You do not look to the left or to the right. You are gazing at me even when You are not answering. Oh Shepherd of my soul, guide me with Your Spirit-filled, peaceful eyes of love.

(II Chron. 16:9, Luke 3:22, Psalm 23, Psalm 32:8)

Passionate Emotions

“His cheeks are like a bed of spices, banks of scented herbs”

Oh that You would cause the beaming smile on Your face to shine upon me! Let me see Your “emojis” Yeshua. :D

Let me admire Your expressions, feel Your emotions and know Your zeal for me my beautiful God.

(Psalm 45:7, Num. 6:25, Isa. 62:4-5, Zech 8:2, Jer. 31:3, Matt. 9:36)

Pure Speech

“His lips are lilies dripping liquid myrrh (burial spice)”

With lips like lilies, Your speech is pure and kind. You are the nicest One I know.

There is grace upon Your lips that grants mercy and righteousness.

You declare Your love as strong as death, and as the living Word of God, everything You say is truth.

(Psalm 45:2, John 1, John 14:6, Song of Songs 8:6-7)

Eight more attributes of God’s beauty that are found in the Bride’s Song in Song of Songs 5:10-16 will be in the next blog post.

My Revelation on the Island of Patmos: Part 3a of 5

Escaping to the Island of Patmos in 2012, I was desperate to find rest and healing from intensifying trigeminal nerve pains.

The Shulamite’s Song in the Night

When bouts of pain have come, besides Yeshua’s story, the inspirational story of the Shulamite in Song of Songs 5 has comforted me. She too was vexed with an aggregate of afflictions.

The Shulamite, representing the Bride of Messiah (Ephesians 5:22-32), was beckoned into the veil of night by the Lover of her soul.

She arose to be with her Beloved God, and in an unexpected abruptness His presence was gone. She searched diligently and repeatedly cried out His name but to no avail.

Escaping to the Island of Patmos in 2012, I was desperate to find rest and healing from intensifying trigeminal nerve pains.

The Shulamite’s Song in the Night

When bouts of pain have come, besides Yeshua’s story, the inspirational story that has upheld me is that of the Shulamite in Song of Songs 5.

The Night Watchmen

“It’s in the middle of the night!” Unempathetic to the Bride’s plight, the guards of the city incessantly demanded, “Shut up! Stop this foolish desperation!”

Infuriated that the Shulamite would not concede, with dark cruelty they attempted to beat her into submission.

Instead of breaking her will, their torment only enhanced the Shulamite’s longing for her Beloved God.

Daughters of Jerusalem

The Shulamite cried to the daughters of Jerusalem, “If you find my Beloved, tell Him that I am lovesick.”

The daughters of Jerusalem had vowed to remember God’s love, but their hearts were growing cold in the face of tribulations.

They questioned the Shulamite, “What is your Beloved anyway?”

The Shulamite was physically and emotionally distressed. However, her intimate knowledge of her Beloved and her obedience to Him had solidified within her a knowledge of Him.

She had no accusation against Him, only desire for Him.

Beauties of the Beloved

With tears and a light in her eyes, the Shulamite recounts the rare beauties of her Beloved’s image that stole her heart.

She sings, “My Beloved is white,” meaning, “My Beloved is holy.”

The Shulamite emulates Yeshua in recounting Yehovah’s holiness.

In Psalm 22, hanging on the cross Yeshua vehemently cries, “My God, My God why have You forsaken Me… yet You are still holy!”

She continued to paint a picture of her Beloved by describing 16 attributes of God that sustained her heart during pain.

To be Continued…
